Friends of Corpus

Corpus Commons' monthly giving community

Every day, over 200 of Boise’s most vulnerable neighbors walk into Corpus. Friends of Corpus give every month to make sure the coffee is always on and the doors stay open.

WHY IT MATTERS

The most practical way to show up for your neighbors

Friends of Corpus go a step further: your monthly gift gives us the steady foundation to address the growing need and focus more on the people we serve.

More people than ever need us

Corpus is Boise’s only daytime shelter, and the need is growing. Rising rents and stagnant wages are pushing more of our neighbors into housing insecurity and recent legislation means that people without shelter who have nowhere to go during waking hours can now be ticketed simply for existing in public. Over 1,000 individuals come through our doors each year, and that number keeps climbing. For many of them, Corpus is the only consistent support they have.

reliable giving means reliable support

Corpus is 100% community-funded. That means every meal served, every shower offered, every load of laundry done is possible because of neighbors like you making it happen.  Right now, most of our funding arrives in December. Monthly gifts let us plan ahead and serve a growing number of guests confidently, 365 days a year.

Your support makes a real difference

Corpus does a lot with very little. Small recurring gifts make a major impact. For just $10 a month, we can keep a neighbor connected with phone access and a reliable address for receiving vital documents. For just $240 a month, Corpus can provide one guest with all essential daytime shelter services including meals, showers, employment assistance, a safe place to belong, and so much more.

What you get as a friend of corpus

Friends of Corpus are part of our community, not just supporters of it. As our friend, here is what you can expect:

the founding 100

We’re building a community of neighbors who believe in showing up for Boise’s most vulnerable all year long, not just in December. The first 100 Friends of Corpus will be recognized on our website and celebrated as the people who made it possible. (Recognition is opt-in, you choose whether to be listed.)
